Set Your ASC Apart With a Higher Level of Care

Joint Commission is uniquely positioned to help your ambulatory surgery center (ASC) excel with certifications that recognize your orthopedic programs.

With two different tracks, core or advanced, you have the option to select the path that works best for your organization. To achieve core certification, you must meet the core requirements in the Disease-Specific Care Manual which include three main components: standards, clinical practice guidelines, and performance measurement. When achieving an advanced certification, you must meet the core requirements plus additional clinically specific requirements.

Core certifications include:

  • Hip fracture
  • Joint replacement - hip
  • Joint replacement - knee
  • Joint replacement - shoulder
  • Spinal fusion
  • Spine surgery

Our advanced certifications, the only certifications offered in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), include:
