Speakers Bureau

Â鶹´«Ã½ Speakers Bureau offers qualified speakers on a variety of topics related to Joint Commission accreditation, performance measurement and quality improvement.

How to Schedule a Speaker

Â鶹´«Ã½ will make every effort to fill speaker requests with the most qualified individual. The request may be forwarded to Joint Commission Resources® (JCR®) or National Quality Forum (NQF) based on the topic and/or length of presentation. JCR and NQF are affiliates of Â鶹´«Ã½. Submission of a request form does not guarantee a speaker; however, we will do our best to locate an in-person or virtual speaker for your event.

To request a speaker, review the guidelines below and complete the following form.

How Far in Advance to Request a Speaker

Please submit your request as early as possible (at least eight weeks prior to the scheduled event) for us to locate an appropriate speaker. This timeframe provides speakers with adequate notice, ensures minimal disruption to work schedules and other commitments, and allows us time to notify the requestor that a speaker will or will not be available. If you plan to publicize your event or have a deadline for submitting a CE application, submit your request well in advance of your deadline. Please allow two weeks for processing after submitting your request.

Guidelines

  1. To request a speaker for your meeting, the Speakers Bureau must receive your speaker request via the online Speakers Bureau Request Form.
  2. Joint Commission speakers cannot participate in any activity that is associated with fundraising, political activities, promotional activities, or endorsements, either directly or indirectly.
  3. Joint Commission speakers cannot participate in any activity in which any group has been unlawfully segregated or unequally treated on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin, disability, religion, age, or sexual orientation.
  4. Joint Commission speakers cannot accept honoraria, stipends, or fees for speaking.
  5. Do not list a speaker in promotional material until confirmation from Â鶹´«Ã½ has been received and the appropriate documents have been signed by the requestor.
  6. After a speaker has been confirmed, he or she will work directly with the requester to develop a presentation targeted to the particular audience.
